Wyndham Rewards is offering golf fans a chance to win one million points each day during the 86th annual Wyndham Championship, which began today at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The tournament, recognized as the final event of the PGA TOUR’s regular season, features several fan-focused activities and promotions.
“For us, the Wyndham Championship isn’t just about hosting unforgettable, edge-of your seat, championship golf. It’s about giving fans an experience they’ll never forget, one meant to inspire drink-in-hand, toes-in-the-sand, ‘I want to go there now’ wanderlust. Because that’s what Wyndham Rewards is—more than 60,000 hotels, vacation club resorts and vacation rentals around the globe ready to help travelers live their bucket list. No other hotel rewards program is more generous or offers members more places to redeem,” said Mike Shiwdin, GVP of Loyalty for Wyndham Rewards.
This year’s tournament includes new and returning attractions such as The Sandbar—a shaded area with live sand sculpting—and popular spots like Club Wyndham Beach and Margaritaville at the Wyndham. Fans can enter for a chance to win daily point giveaways by visiting https://www.wyndhamrewards.com/championship. Winners could use their points for stays at properties including luxury all-inclusive resorts or family accommodations across multiple condos.
The event also highlights community support through its philanthropic platform “Wyndham Championship Fore! Good.” Earlier this week, $250,000 was donated to First Tee – Central Carolina. An additional $100,000 went to four local backpack charities: Backpack Beginnings, Forsyth Backpacks, Out of the Garden Project and United Way of Greater High Point. These organizations provide meals for children in central North Carolina; $5 can feed a child for a weekend while $150 covers an entire school year.
During tournament play from Thursday through Sunday, if a PGA TOUR player makes a hole-in-one on the par-3 16th hole, both the player and local charities will receive one million Wyndham Rewards points each.
Wyndham Rewards serves as title sponsor of the championship and connects major travel brands including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts—the world’s largest hotel franchising company—and Club Wyndham. The rewards program has been recognized by USA TODAY as the top hotel loyalty program and allows members to earn points on every qualified stay that can be redeemed at over 60,000 locations worldwide or used toward other rewards such as tours or gift cards.
The tournament runs through August 3rd. Teachers, first responders and military personnel may attend free with registration. Cardmembers holding a Wyndham Rewards Earner Card receive benefits such as discounted tickets and concessions along with exclusive lounge access on site.
