Waldorf Astoria New York has unveiled its newly restored guest rooms, a new restaurant by Chef Michael Anthony, and the iconic Peacock Alley Lounge as part of its opening season. The hotel aims to redefine modern luxury with these offerings.
Guests can now book stays in the reimagined rooms and suites. Reservations are open for three distinct dining experiences: Lex Yard, Peacock Alley, and Yoshoku. On September 1, the hotel’s extensive meeting and event spaces will reopen, including the Grand Ballroom and several notable rooms. Additionally, the Guerlain Wellness Spa will be available to guests.
Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton, emphasized the hotel’s significance: “In many ways, Waldorf Astoria New York is the most important hotel in the world. It is the original luxury property and the place where luxury service was perfected.”
The transformation was led by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) with interiors by Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR) and Jean-Louis Deniot. The design preserves Art Deco architecture while integrating modern elements.
Peacock Alley returns with its historic charm and a curated cocktail menu by Jeff Bell. Lex Yard offers contemporary American cuisine under Chef Michael Anthony’s guidance. Yoshoku provides a Japanese dining experience inspired by Waldorf Astoria’s history.
The hotel features updated guest accommodations with expansive layouts and luxurious finishes. Residents at Waldorf Astoria Residences New York enjoy exclusive services separate from hotel guests.
