Hilton has announced plans to expand its luxury resort portfolio with the introduction of Waldorf Astoria Bali. This development is part of Hilton’s broader strategy to grow its presence in coveted travel destinations across Asia Pacific, following recent openings and signings in locations such as Costa Rica, the Seychelles, and Turks and Caicos.

Candice D’Cruz, Vice President of Luxury Brands at Hilton for Asia Pacific, commented on the evolving expectations of luxury travelers. “Today’s luxury traveler is seeking more than just a beautiful stay – they’re seeking meaningful, immersive experiences rooted in culture and authenticity. That is why resorts are becoming modern sanctuaries, with destinations like Bali continuing to be highly sought-after,” she stated. The Waldorf Astoria Bali aims to fulfill this demand by combining elegance with opportunities for cultural engagement.

The resort will feature 71 villas and 68 guest suites designed to offer an oceanside retreat that integrates world-class design with anticipatory service. It will provide guests with bespoke wellness journeys, cultural experiences, destination dining options, and a chic beach club. The property is scheduled to open in late 2027 in Nusa Dua.

Waldorf Astoria’s culinary reputation will continue at this new location through a partnership with Chef Dave Pynt. Known for his expertise in open-fire cooking, Pynt will lead The Ledge by Dave Pynt at the resort—a modern barbecue concept already popular at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. Marvin Alballi, Vice President of Food & Beverage for Hilton Asia Pacific said, “Bali’s reputation as a global hub for discerning travelers makes it a natural home for Waldorf Astoria’s next culinary landmark.”

Chef Dave Pynt expressed excitement about the opportunity: “We’re really excited to bring our style of barbecue to the incredible cliffs of Nusa Dua… At Waldorf Astoria Bali, we’re creating an experience that captures the spirit of island life – through fire, flavour, craft, and connection – so guests take home memories that are unforgettable.”

This signing comes as Hilton surpasses 1,000 luxury hotels globally and plans further expansion within Asia Pacific over the next two years. New Waldorf Astoria properties are planned for cities including Shanghai Qiantan, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Tokyo among others.
