The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has introduced a new campaign, “Thai’d Up This Summer,” aimed at increasing family and youth tourism during the green season. The initiative encourages international visitors to discover lesser-known destinations and engage with local Thai culture.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, stated: “This campaign reflects our commitment to elevating Thailand’s tourism through inclusive, creative experiences that appeal to diverse travellers. ‘Thai’d Up This Summer’ invites young explorers and families alike to uncover the magic of Thailand’s hidden gems while enjoying meaningful, personalised journeys.”

The campaign is part of the broader Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025. It consists of two main elements: a youth travel experience and a nationwide privileges programme for families.

A central feature is the Your Dream of Thailand Academy, which targets young Europeans aged 18–25. Participants can enter an online contest for a chance to win a fully sponsored 10-day cultural trip in Thailand. Four winners will be chosen, each allowed to bring one companion on an adventure that includes community-based tourism, cultural activities, nature exploration, and learning about local traditions.

Winners are expected to document their journey on social media platforms throughout their trip. Entries can be submitted via AXN Asia’s social media channels until 12 August 2025, with winners announced on 15 August 2025.

In addition to the youth programme, the Amazing Grand Privileges for Family Tourists initiative offers exclusive benefits for international families visiting between August and September 2025. In collaboration with major brands in retail, hospitality, transport, and entertainment sectors, families will have access to various discounts and special offers.

For example, tourists can receive discounts and VAT refund opportunities at The Mall Group’s department stores such as Emporium, EmQuartier, and Emsphere. At Siam Piwat shopping centers—Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery—visitors can obtain up to 80% savings using the ONESIAM GLOBAL Visitor Card.

Transport-related perks include discounted airport transfers with AVIS between Bangkok airports and downtown areas. Families using Grab services can access exclusive rewards through the Grab Thailand Travel Pass for rides or food delivery via the app’s “My Rewards” section.

Additionally, HarborLand Play Centers across Thailand are offering complimentary gifts when purchasing tickets for one adult and one child.
