Hilton Head Island offers a unique blend of dining and music experiences, particularly for jazz and blues enthusiasts. Three venues stand out as prime spots to enjoy both a meal and live performances from some of the region’s talented artists.

The Jazz Corner, located at 1000 William Hilton Parkway C-1 in The Village at Wexford, was established by the late Bob Masteller, a noted jazz luminary and historian. The venue is known for its intimate, candlelit setting that exudes sophistication. Patrons can enjoy dishes such as apricot roasted duck and Cajun shrimp and grits while listening to past acts like Grammy Award-winning artist Ulysses Owens Jr.’s Generation Y Band. Reservations are necessary for dinner and show.

Kind of Blue at 19 Dunnagan’s Alley opened in 2022 on the south end of Hilton Head Island. It features a warm and inviting atmosphere that becomes more lively when dancing begins. The menu includes items like grilled ribeye and chicken and waffles. Past performers have included Sharp Five and Reggie Deas. Entertainment is offered nightly with ticketed events available.

Ruby Lee’s, found at 46 Old Wild Horse Road, is owned by Tim Singleton and his mother Deborah Govan. Named after Singleton’s late grandmother, Ruby Lee’s offers Southern-inspired cuisine such as oxtail stew alongside performances from artists like Beth Inabinett & For The FunK of It! Live shows run Monday through Saturday with reservations recommended.

These clubs provide not just meals but also vibrant musical entertainment on Hilton Head Island.
