Bangkok, July 1, 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted the Amazing Thailand Saneh Thai Gala Night at Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok. The event was part of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, aimed at showcasing Thailand’s cultural richness and hospitality under the theme “Myth of Siam – A Gala of Timeless Wonder.”
Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, highlighted the gala as a platform to celebrate Thai culture and renew global travel interest. “This event highlighted the many dimensions of Thai charm and strengthened international confidence in our safety, readiness, and hospitality. It marks a bold step forward in our mission to position Thailand as a premier global Tourism Hub,” he stated.
The gala was attended by dignitaries such as Ms. Theerarat Samrejvanich, Deputy Minister of Interior; Ms. Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, Chair of the Subcommittee on Soft Power in Tourism; Ms. Mayuree Chaipromprasith from the Festival Industry Promotion Subcommittee; Mr. Sermkhun Kunawong from the Arts Industry Promotion Subcommittee; and diplomatic representatives worldwide.
Notable figures from TAT’s Be My Guest campaign were present, including actors Bie Thassapak Chee, Nutt Nisamanee, Yoshi Rinrada; athletes Buakaw Banchamek and Popor Sapsiree; influencers Alek Teeradetch, Pong Nawat, Jenny Panan—all contributing to showcasing Siam’s timeless charm globally.
The event featured traditional performances like Hun Lakhon Lek puppet shows from the Ramakien epic and cultural showcases representing Thailand’s five regions. It also included a performance by T-POP group 4EVE after their international debut in Los Angeles.
A highlight was TAT’s Amazing Experience with fine dining that transformed local ingredients into culinary art with dishes such as shimeji mushroom larb and Andaman red snapper with jaew sauce.
The Showcase Zone brought “5 Must Do in Thailand” to life with activities like crafting royal-style garlands and exploring premium handicrafts.
The evening concluded with “Thailand in the Box,” featuring handcrafted items symbolizing regional charm from all five regions: a woven palm fan from the South to granite mortar from the East.
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, noted that “We successfully projected Thailand’s Soft Power on the global stage through culture, art, and cuisine while inspiring both first-time and returning visitors.” She emphasized how it affirmed Thailand’s place as a destination for creativity and connection.
