The Sun Princess, the latest addition to the Princess Cruises fleet, is introducing a new range of holiday experiences at sea. This newly launched ship aims to transform its decks into a festive setting for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s celebrations from November 30 to January 3.
The ship has been recognized as #1 in Mega Cruise in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. “Our team has created a lineup of magical holiday experiences you won’t find anywhere else,” said Becky Thomson Foley, Princess Head of Global Entertainment.
The cruise begins with a Tree Lighting Celebration in the Piazza, featuring singers, dancers, and Stanley the Bear. Guests can also interact with “Polar Pals,” animal puppets inspired by the Northern Lights. Additionally, Santa Claus will make an appearance for stories and photos.
Entertainment includes a Jazz Era Holiday Tribute by the Princess World Orchestra and a Holly Jolly Sweater Party with music from a DJ. Stanley the Bear will be part of a daily hide-and-seek game. Other activities include holiday-themed trivia and competitions.
Religious services are available on board, including Hanukkah Candle Lighting and Christmas Eve services for different denominations. The culinary team offers special menus featuring traditional holiday dishes.
New Year’s Eve will be celebrated on The Love Boat with music, décor, dancing, and a Champagne toast to welcome 2025.
A new show titled “ArtBeat a Happy Heart by Britto” has been introduced onboard. It features art by Romero Britto in collaboration with Cirque Eloize.
