Switzerland’s scenic landscapes have been chosen as the backdrop for the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The shoot features the snow-covered village of Saas-Fee in the Valais Matterhorn region and Zurich’s urban environment.
Photographer Derek Kettela captured models such as Hunter McGrady, Camille Kostek, and twins Elisha and Renee Herbert on Saas-Fee’s glacier. Meanwhile, Jasmine Sanders and Penny Lane joined the twins in Zurich.
MJ Day, editor-in-chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, remarked, “Shooting in Switzerland was an unforgettable experience—the breathtaking scenery and serene atmosphere created the perfect backdrop.”

The locations highlight Switzerland’s diversity: from Saas-Fee’s glaciers and chalet village to Zurich’s Old Town streets, Limmat River shores, Lake Zurich views, and city rooftops.
Camille Kostek extended her stay at The Capra lodge due to its charm: “The beauty of these mountains truly took my breath away.” Jasmine Sanders also enjoyed her time in Zurich: “[Shooting] Sports Illustrated Swimsuit [in Zurich] felt like a dream.”
The 2025 issue is available on newsstands starting May 13.
