Roger Wheeler State Beach is popular among families due to its gentle waves and playground facilities. Misquamicut State Beach offers amenities like clean bathrooms, showers, and food stands, making it suitable for family outings and events.

Charlestown Breachway State Beach is ideal for fishing enthusiasts and campers. East Beach remains undeveloped and is great for kayaking, surf fishing, and bird watching. East Matunuck State Beach attracts surfers with its prime waves.

Misquamicut State Beach hosts festivals in spring and fall, while Scarborough North State Beach is lively with good conditions for boogie boarding. Scarborough South provides more space for relaxation. Crescent Beach on Block Island offers gentle waves suitable for swimming.
