Regent Hotels & Resorts has received two major awards at the 2025 Virtuoso Global Awards, held during the network’s 37th annual Virtuoso Travel Week. Virtuoso, a global leader in luxury and experiential travel, honored Regent for its achievements among top travel agencies, advisors, and preferred partners.

Virtuoso’s awards are determined by votes from its advisors, boards, and committees. The recognition highlights Regent’s role as a prominent name in upper luxury hospitality and acknowledges the brand’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships within the travel industry.

“Virtuoso Awards celebrate those who are shaping the future of luxury travel through integrity, outstanding service and unforgettable experiences,” said Virtuoso Chairman and CEO Matthew D. Upchurch. “These annual awards celebrate the exceptional members and partners who bring our shared purpose to life: enriching lives through human connection and the power of travel. Regent exemplifies the innovation, collaboration, and unwavering commitment that define our network, and they deserve to be recognized for their dedication that elevates the Virtuoso network and the industry as a whole.”

Regent Hotels & Resorts is part of IHG’s upper luxury portfolio. Since it began reimagining its brand in 2020, Regent has expanded with new properties in Shanghai, Chongqing, Phu Quoc, Cannes, Hong Kong, Bali, and Santa Monica. The company plans further openings in cities such as Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, Kyoto, Sanya, Shenzhen, and Riyadh.

Tom Rowntree, Vice President of Luxury Brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts commented on the recent recognition: “These awards from Virtuoso are a testament to Regent’s dedication to delivering unforgettable experiences. We are incredibly proud of our teams in Santa Monica and Hong Kong for bringing the Regent vision to life in such spectacular fashion.”

The two specific accolades awarded were Best New or Reimagined Hotel for Regent Santa Monica Beach—which opened in 2024—and Best Brand Hotel for Regent Hong Kong. The Santa Monica property was acknowledged for its design features by AvroKO and Wimberly Interiors along with service provided by Regent Experience Agents. Meanwhile, Regent Hong Kong was praised for maintaining high standards of discreet luxury under designer Chi Wing Lo’s direction.

The recent expansion efforts have positioned Regent as a growing force within IHG’s portfolio as it continues to open hotels across several continents.
