Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, marking the brand’s first property in Malaysia. The hotel is located between levels 75 and 114 of Merdeka 118, which is recognized as the tallest skyscraper in Asia Pacific and offers views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.

This makes for an exciting chapter for Hyatt’s brand growth in the region, with three new properties opening in Kuala Lumpur within a year, an expansion of diverse offerings.”
Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur features 252 guestrooms and suites designed to provide guests with city views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Suites include living areas, full baths with rain showers and aromatherapy steamers, walk-in dressing rooms, study areas, and private dining spaces in select rooms.
The interiors are inspired by traditional Malay Kampung houses. The design includes sculptural centerpieces and artisanal detailing such as perforated brass screens with batik canting patterns and natural timber accents influenced by basket weaving traditions. Artwork curated by Artlink showcases Malaysian craft and modern art.
Guests can participate in guided experiences through the Merdeka 118 Precinct. These tours offer access to Stadium Merdeka—where Malaysia declared independence—the Al-Sultan Abdullah Mosque, Merdeka Textile Museum, and Merdeka 118 building.

Dining options at Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur include Merdeka Grill—which serves premium cuts and sustainable seafood—and Park Lounge that highlights traditional Malaysian dishes alongside afternoon tea created by Executive Pastry Chef Holger Deh. Cacao Mixology & Chocolate is described as the city’s first chocolate-themed bar featuring cocktails made from cacao products along with handcrafted chocolate treats.
Wellness facilities are located on the 99th floor. Amenities include a yoga studio, fitness center equipped with Life Fitness machines, treatment suites with ensuite dressing rooms, relaxation lounge with aromatherapy steam bath and Himalayan Salt Alcove, vitality pool, and a 30-meter infinity pool overlooking the city. The spa offers circadian therapies intended to align guests’ energy cycles throughout their stay.
Event spaces consist of executive salons equipped with natural light and modern technology for meetings or celebrations.
