Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Mumian Shaoxing Hotel in Shaoxing City, China. The hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, is located in the renovated former Shaoxing 871 Chip Factory. It combines historical industrial architecture with modern design elements.
The hotel’s interior was designed by Ju Bin and his Horizontal Design team. They preserved the original skeletal truss structure while incorporating contemporary art installations and natural greenery throughout the space. This transformation aims to turn the site into a cultural landmark.
Mumian Shaoxing Hotel features 90 guest rooms on its second and third floors. These rooms range from 484 to 2,206 square feet and offer amenities like Dyson hairdryers and Atelier Cologne bath products. Guests can enjoy curated art tours that explore the building’s architectural details and history.
The hotel includes three food and beverage outlets: Xiaonanyang Restaurant, Xingshan Lobby Bar, and two Chinese tea rooms called Zen Pavilion and Orchid Pavilion. Other facilities include a fitness center, yoga studio, and children’s club.
Demos Luo, general manager of Mumian Shaoxing Hotel, stated: “Mumian Shaoxing Hotel represents a new chapter in cultural hospitality with a modern flare for this ancient city.”
In celebration of its opening, World of Hyatt members can earn up to 1,500 Bonus Points for qualifying stays at Mumian Shoaxing Hotel from July 1 to September 30, 2025.
