Marriott International has announced a significant agreement with Ventive Hospitality to open seven new hotels across five brands, totaling 1,548 keys. The deal includes the debut of a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Sri Lanka and Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Varanasi. Other projects include Courtyard by Marriott in Mundra, Gujarat, and Moxy hotels in Pune and Mumbai. This collaboration marks an expansion of Marriott’s presence in the Indian sub-continent.
The agreement was signed by Rajeev Menon of Marriott International and Atul Chordia of Ventive Hospitality. Key figures such as Ranju Alex and Kiran Andicot from Marriott International, along with Ranjit Batra and Milind Wadekar from Ventive Hospitality, were present at the signing.
Rajeev Menon stated, “Our growth strategy focuses on being present wherever our guests are looking to travel.” He highlighted the excitement surrounding the Ritz-Carlton Reserve debut in Sri Lanka.
Atul Chordia expressed enthusiasm about strengthening ties with Marriott International, saying this collaboration is pivotal for redefining India’s hospitality sector.
Ranjit Batra commented on Ventive Hospitality’s commitment to aggressive growth and enhancing stakeholder value through this partnership with Marriott International.
Pottuvil will host a Ritz-Carlton Reserve offering luxury villas surrounded by natural beauty. JW Marriott Navi Mumbai will feature 450 rooms with wellness spaces and event facilities. Varanasi Marriott Hotel will provide 161 guestrooms near ancient temples. Courtyard by Marriott Mundra will offer business-friendly amenities near Mundra Port.
Moxy Hotels will expand with new locations in Pune and Mumbai featuring playful designs for young travelers. These properties are expected to open by 2030.
