Marriott Bonvoy, the travel platform of Marriott International, is introducing a series of tennis and travel experiences as part of its partnership with the 2025 Rolex Shanghai Masters. The company, which serves as a prestige sponsor for the tournament, announced several initiatives aimed at engaging members who have an interest in both sports and wellness.

The activities include collaborating with tennis legend Li Na to launch the Players Escort selection for the tournament. The first event was held at The Westin Sanya Haitang Bay Resort, where Li Na met with young Marriott Bonvoy members. The selection process will continue in cities such as Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Beijing, and Wuhan. Families interested in participating can find more information and register online through Marriott Bonvoy’s official WeChat account. Children selected through this program will have the opportunity to attend the 2025 Rolex Shanghai Masters and accompany top players onto center court at Juss Qizhong Tennis Center.

Betty Tian, Managing Vice President, Customer, Greater China at Marriott International said: “Travel to pursue a passion for sports and embracing a lifestyle centered around wellness are popular leisure tourism trends and a key member experience focus for Marriott Bonvoy. By collaborating with Rolex Shanghai Masters, we aim to create diverse and immersive tennis experiences that unlock access for our members as they travel for their passions.”

Beginning August 20, Marriott Bonvoy will also host “Place Among Dreams” Tennis Matches at several hotels including Xiamen Marriott Hotel & Conference Centre, Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel, Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel, The Sanya EDITION, and Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel. These locations either have on-site tennis facilities or partnerships with local clubs. Other properties like The Westin Haikou and Wuhan Marriott Hotel Optics Valley will offer activities such as tennis machine training and themed e-games. Winners from these events may receive tickets to the Rolex Shanghai Masters along with exclusive merchandise.

Last year’s Player Escorts are invited by Marriott Bonvoy to design artwork under the theme “Travel: Find Your Place Among Dreams.” This artwork will be displayed in tennis-themed guest rooms and on merchandise across participating hotels.

Additionally, on October 9 at Juss Qizhong Tennis Center, ATP Tour professional Zhang Zhizhen will lead a Master Class available exclusively to Marriott Bonvoy members through its Moments platform. Members can bid for participation or enter sweepstakes for benefits such as attending the class or receiving VIP hospitality during the tournament.
