LEGOLAND Florida Resort has announced plans for a new space-themed indoor roller coaster, scheduled to open in early 2026. The project is being developed by Merlin Entertainments, which operates the resort and manages several branded entertainment destinations worldwide.

The upcoming attraction will be located in the northern section of LEGO City and is described as the most technologically advanced ride at LEGOLAND Florida to date. According to Blake Boyter, Senior Project Manager of Merlin Magic Making, “This is more than just a ride! It’s a fully immersive mission that starts the minute guests enter the building. From lift off to landing, the result is LEGOLAND Florida’s most ambitious attraction to date — built for explorers big and small.”

The new area will include an indoor roller coaster called LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885, named after one of the original LEGO Space Scooter sets. This marks the first new roller coaster inside LEGOLAND Florida since its opening in 2011. Other features will include a themed retail shop called Orbital Outpost, an interactive queue experience within LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885, and a DUPLO TOT Spot designed for children ages 1–4.

Construction on the expansion began two years ago. The indoor coaster experience will also debut at LEGOLAND California Resort in 2026. Together, these projects represent an investment of over $90 million across both locations.

Admission to the new space-themed area will be included with general park tickets and annual passes. Additional information about the official ride name and opening date will be released closer to launch.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort offers more than 50 rides and attractions inspired by LEGO brands and characters, as well as three themed hotels near Orlando and Tampa. More details about current offerings can be found on their official website: https://www.LEGOLAND.com/Florida
