Families visiting the Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens in August will benefit from a new admission offer. The zoo announced that throughout the month, up to five children aged 3 to 12 can enter for free with the purchase of one adult general admission ticket.

Nikki Smith, Chief Philanthropy and Marketing Officer at the zoo, encouraged families to take advantage of the promotion. “Join us at the Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens to make the most of these final weeks of summer,” Smith said. “From seeing animals up close to exploring our vibrant botanical gardens, this special offer is a chance for kids to learn, play, and connect with nature before the school year begins.”

Visitors also have an option to upgrade their experience by purchasing a Total Experience pass. This upgrade provides access to additional attractions such as Frozen in Time: An Ice Age Adventure, a 4D Theater, unlimited train rides, carousel rides, animal feedings, and other activities.

The Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens houses over 2,000 rare and exotic animals along with 1,000 varieties of plants. It has been recognized by USA TODAY as the fourth best zoo in the United States. Notable exhibits include Land of the Tiger, Primate Forest, and Range of the Jaguar.

More information about planning a visit can be found on their website at www.jacksonvillezoo.org.

Founded in 1914 with just one red deer fawn in its collection, Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens has grown significantly over more than a century. Today it features Northeast Florida’s largest botanical garden and supports over 35 conservation initiatives locally and globally as part of its nonprofit mission. The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
