Tokyo, Japan – IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a new agreement with FET SYSTEM INC to rebrand two hotels in Japan as ANA Holiday Inn properties. The hotels, currently known as The Celecton Premier Kobe Sanda Hotel and Hotel Bientos, will undergo extensive renovations before reopening in 2026 under the Holiday Inn brand.
Abhijay Sandilya, Managing Director for Japan & Micronesia at IHG Hotels & Resorts and CEO of IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan, expressed enthusiasm about the continued partnership with FET SYSTEMS INC. “Building on our successful partnership with FET SYSTEMS INC is another wonderful milestone in our growth journey and together we are celebrating the addition of two new ANA Holiday Inn hotels into the IHG system,” he stated.
The conversion of these properties marks a significant step in expanding IHG’s presence in Japan. Sandilya highlighted the global demand for quick-to-market conversions to IHG’s brands, noting that “globally conversions represented around 60% of our openings and 40% of organic signings in the first quarter of 2025.”
Hiroshi Nakamura, President & CEO of FET SYSTEM INC., shared his excitement about bringing an international hotel brand to Sanda and Tosu City. “The team at FET SYSTEMS INC is delighted to extend our collaboration with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring the much-loved Holiday Inn brand to new destinations,” Nakamura said.
The newly branded ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda will be located 40 kilometers north of Kobe City and aims to serve both corporate and leisure guests with its meetings and events space. Meanwhile, ANA Holiday Inn Tosu will cater to corporate demand from the manufacturing industry in Saga Prefecture due to its proximity to Tosu station and local attractions.
IHG currently operates 54 hotels across ten brands in Japan, with plans for further expansion as evidenced by this latest development.
