Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with Shenzhen Yuen Kai Hotel Management Co., Ltd., has announced the opening of Mumian Shaoxing Hotel in Shaoxing City, China. This establishment is the newest addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. Situated within the renovated former Shaoxing 871 Chip Factory, the hotel maintains its industrial past while integrating contemporary art and design to reflect the city’s cultural heritage.

The hotel’s interior was redesigned by Ju Bin and his Horizontal Design team. It retains the original skeletal truss structure of the factory and centers around a modern industrial site’s geometric charm. Natural greenery and contemporary art installations are used throughout, transforming it into a modern cultural landmark.

Mumian Shaoxing Hotel features 90 guest rooms across two floors, ranging from 484 to 2,206 square feet. These rooms blend geometric artistry with natural textures to create a tranquil atmosphere. They include amenities such as Dyson hairdryers, Atelier Cologne bath products, and Tivoli Audio systems. Additionally, guests can enjoy exclusive craft beers and goji-infused Shaoxing wine.

Dining options at the hotel include three distinct food and beverage outlets: Xiaonanyang Restaurant for all-day dining with innovative takes on traditional flavors; Xingshan Lobby Bar for afternoon teas and evening cocktails; and Zen Pavilion or Orchid Pavilion for intimate tea gatherings. The hotel also provides facilities like a fitness center, yoga studio, and children’s club.

The “Story Bloomers” program offers immersive cultural experiences through activities like Shexi opera performances and sutra calligraphy workshops. Each evening features a “Starlight Overture” ceremony that celebrates local traditions with music and wine tastings.

Located near Fushan Mountain within Yuecheng District’s commercial complex, Mumian Shaoxing Hotel provides easy access to notable landmarks such as Lu Xun Native Place. It’s conveniently located 25 minutes from Shaoxing North Railway Station.

“Mumian Shaoxing Hotel represents a new chapter in cultural hospitality with a modern flare for this ancient city,” said Demos Luo, general manager of Mumian Shaoxing Hotel.

To celebrate its opening as part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in Shaoxing, World of Hyatt members can earn up to 1,500 Bonus Points for qualifying stays between July 1 and September 30, 2025.
