Hotel Indigo, a brand under IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has announced the opening of its new property in London’s Clerkenwell district. The hotel is located at 2 Clerkenwell Road, within close proximity to Farringdon Station.

The Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell features 143 guest rooms designed to reflect the area’s architectural and creative history. Rooms are styled after an architect’s studio, including desks resembling cutting mats and headboards that look like blueprint poster tubes. References to local clockmaking heritage are present throughout the property, such as guest room numbers shaped like clocks. Guests can also access amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi, espresso machines, Urban Apothecary toiletries, and flexible workspaces.

Dining options at the hotel include three outlets: Wilderness Kitchen offers Mediterranean-inspired vegetarian-friendly cuisine using seasonal British produce; Sabini Bar serves cocktails, specialty coffee, and wine; while Hat and Feathers—a Grade II-listed Victorian pub—provides traditional dishes and a range of ales. The food and beverage offerings aim to highlight local ingredients and culinary traditions.

Keith Davies, Owner of Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, said: “As a family-owned hotel, we’ve taken great care to restore and shape the property to reflect Clerkenwell’s creative legacy. We’re proud to offer a warm, design-rich environment that honours the spirit of the neighbourhood.”

James Olivier, General Manager of the hotel, stated: “Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell invites guests to discover the stories of this fascinating part of London. From local design influences woven into our interiors to thoughtfully crafted food and drink experiences, we’re here to create memorable stays that connect our guests to the soul of Clerkenwell.”

The hotel provides two meeting and event rooms above Hat and Feathers for gatherings up to 60 people. These spaces feature natural daylight and period detailing. The pub is also available for exclusive hire for larger events.

A £40 food and beverage credit is offered when booking online through the hotel’s offers page. Additionally, a Pet Getaway package is available for guests traveling with dogs.

Located near major transport links—including direct connections via Elizabeth Line and Thameslink—the hotel caters to both business travelers and tourists with room rates starting from £260 per night.

Hotel Indigo currently operates 169 properties worldwide with another 136 in development.
