Holland America Line has announced a collaboration with Sony Electronics for the 2025 Alaska season, aiming to offer guests a unique photography experience. The partnership includes an exclusive photo contest and onboard photography experiences, focusing on capturing the landscapes of Alaska.

The “Alaska Through Your Lens” sweepstakes invites participants to submit their photographs of Alaska’s wildlife and natural wonders for a chance to win prizes. Entrants can participate via Sony’s Alpha Universe platform or social media using designated hashtags. The grand prize includes a Holland America Line cruise and Sony camera equipment.

Kacy Cole, Chief Marketing Officer at Holland America Line, stated, “Our collaboration with Sony helps capture Alaska through the lens of our guest and creates experiences too good to hurry through.”

Sony hosted an interactive pop-up photography class aboard the Holland America Line’s 7-Day Alaska Inside Passage cruise in June 2025. Led by Sony Artisan Colby Brown, participants learned photography techniques while using Sony’s latest equipment. The class also offered insights into using technology to enhance image sharing.

Yang Cheng, Vice President of Imaging Solutions at Sony Electronics, commented on the initiative: “Through our collaboration with Holland America Line, we offer guests the chance to embark on an unforgettable adventure through Alaska’s breathtaking landscapes.”

Holland America Line emphasizes its extensive glacier experiences during each cruise and provides opportunities for wildlife observation with experts onboard. Various itineraries are available for the 2025 season, including roundtrip cruises from Vancouver and Seattle.
