Holland America Denali Lodge is enhancing its culinary offerings for the 2025 season, bringing a taste of Alaska to its guests. The changes are part of a broader initiative to align land-based dining with the cruise line’s onboard experience, emphasizing freshness and regional flavors.
The lodge has introduced new menus and reimagined its restaurant, now named Canyon Ridge Grill. “We’ve taken a thoughtful approach to evolving the food and beverage experience at Denali Lodge,” said Marisa Christenson, director of food & beverage operations and development for Holland America Line. She highlighted dishes such as wild salmon smoked chowder and pan-roasted Alaskan cod, along with cocktails crafted using local spirits.
Canyon Ridge Grill features an elevated menu that includes shipboard favorites like Alaska cod and Wagyu burgers. Beverages include microbrews from Anchorage Brewing Company and cocktails featuring regional distilleries. The cocktail menu includes unique options such as the Old Sourdough, made with Port Chilkook Boatwright bourbon, and Wonder Lake Lemonade, mixed with fresh berries and flavored vodkas from Anchorage Distillery.
Seafood served at the lodge is certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), ensuring responsible sourcing. This certification supports environmental stewardship and healthy fisheries.
Karstens Public House in Denali Square continues to offer hearty Alaska comfort food. The 2025 menu includes Dive-In Burgers and Hot Dogs alongside Karstens’ classics like Beer Battered Halibut and Chips. Local craft beers are also available from breweries such as Alaskan Brewing and Midnight Sun Brewing.
For more casual dining, guests can enjoy in-room pizza delivery or attend the Music of Denali Dinner Theater at Gold Nugget Saloon for a family-style feast paired with musical entertainment.
Grizzly Grind espresso bar offers coffee drinks featuring Steam Dot coffee and Felicity Loft teas, perfect for guests looking for a morning boost or midday treat.
Further enhancements are planned for 2026, including a new coffee house and main lodge renovation, continuing Denali Lodge’s commitment to hospitality and local flavor.
