Hilton has announced it now operates more than 500 hotels in Florida, marking a significant expansion in the state. The company attributes this growth to its broad portfolio of brands and a focus on lifestyle properties that cater to evolving traveler preferences.
In 2024, Florida saw a record 143 million visitors, according to state tourism data. Hilton has nearly doubled its presence in the state over the past decade, aiming to meet increased demand from travelers seeking both iconic cities and smaller seaside communities. The company’s offerings range from Hampton by Hilton to Conrad Hotels & Resorts.
“Florida has long been a cornerstone for leisure travel and surpassing 500 hotels across the state marks a pivotal moment in Hilton’s journey here,” said John Koshivos, vice president and managing director, development, Southeast U.S., Hilton. “We are proud of our multi-brand growth in Florida, where we’ve introduced the breadth of Hilton’s award-winning brands, from Hampton by Hilton to Conrad Hotels & Resorts, in sought-after locales, from the Panhandle and Orlando to Miami and the Keys. As we aim to offer our guests the right brand for their needs, our lifestyle brands are standing out in this continued expansion, as they reflect the evolving tastes of today’s modern travelers who crave immersive, culturally rich experiences.”
The company is expanding its lifestyle hotel footprint with new properties under brands such as Tempo by Hilton—set to open locations in Pensacola, St. Petersburg and Fort Myers—and Canopy by Hilton hotels planned for Miami’s Brickell area and Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas district. Tapestry Collection by Hilton also plans further developments across several coastal cities including St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.
Recent additions include THesis Hotel Miami Coral Gables (Curio Collection), The Hiatus Clearwater Beach (Curio Collection), Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club Marathon (Curio Collection), and Castillo Real St. Augustine Beach (Tapestry Collection).
Hilton first entered Florida in 1982 and now offers properties spanning 17 brands statewide. Other recent openings include Hampton Inn St. Augustine Downtown Historic District; Tru by Hilton Panama City Beach; Spark by Hilton Tampa Brandon; and Conrad Orlando.
Looking ahead, nearly 140 additional properties are planned across 15 brands within Florida. Upcoming projects feature luxury developments such as Waldorf Astoria Miami and Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort.
