Hilton Hotels & Resorts is celebrating National Piña Colada Day on July 10, marking 71 years since the cocktail’s creation. The piña colada was first made by Ramón “Monchito” Marrero at Caribe Hilton in San Juan. Marrero crafted a drink to capture Puerto Rico’s vibrant spirit using rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice.

The piña colada has become a symbol of Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ hospitality and innovation. It reflects the brand’s commitment to pairing local flavors with cultural history across its global locations.

Guests can celebrate by staying at Hilton properties or making the iconic cocktail at home using the original recipe from Caribe Hilton.
