Hilton has announced the signing of Waldorf Astoria Bali with Indonesian property developer PT Balibuana Perkasa. The new luxury hotel is scheduled to open in 2027 in the Nusa Dua enclave, expanding Hilton’s presence in Indonesia.
The upcoming Waldorf Astoria Bali will be situated along Sawangan Beach, offering direct access to the shoreline. It marks the second property developed with PT Balibuana Perkasa following the Hilton Bali Resort. This addition joins Hilton’s existing portfolio of 16 operating and 12 pipeline hotels and resorts across Indonesia.
Clarence Tan, Senior Vice President of Development for Asia Pacific at Hilton, stated, “This signing builds on the success of Hilton Bali Resort with PT Balibuana Perkasa and deepens our long-standing relationship. Their continued trust is a testament to the enduring value of Hilton’s brands and importantly, our owners’ confidence in Hilton’s ability to deliver best-in-class returns.”
Waldorf Astoria Bali will feature 71 villas and 68 guest suites with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The resort will include multiple dining options such as a chic beach club and Peacock Alley restaurant. Notably, The Ledge by Dave Pynt will offer a unique dining experience focusing on modern barbecue.
Alexandra Murray, Vice President and Regional Head for South East Asia at Hilton said, “Bali’s natural beauty and rich cultural depth make it a fitting home for Waldorf Astoria.” She added that this move reflects “Hilton’s continued commitment to expanding thoughtfully across South East Asia’s most sought-after destinations.”
Gandi Rudiarto from PT Balibuana Perkasa expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Hilton again: “Over the years, we have worked closely with Hilton as our trusted partner to create exceptional experiences for guests.”
The resort will also offer wellness experiences including a spa inspired by traditional Balinese rituals and various family-friendly activities. Located near Ngurah Rai International Airport, it provides convenient access to local attractions.
This development is part of Hilton’s strategy to expand its luxury presence in Asia Pacific. Future openings include properties in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Shanghai among others.
Waldorf Astoria hotels are part of the Hilton Honors loyalty program which offers members exclusive benefits when booking directly through preferred channels.
