Grand Hyatt Singapore has reopened following a multi-year renovation, according to an announcement from Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The hotel, located on Orchard Road, now features new designs and expanded wellness and sustainability offerings.
“As one of Singapore’s original international hotels, Grand Hyatt Singapore has always been a place to stay and celebrate. It’s also a place to belong,” said Edouard Demptos, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Singapore. “For over five decades, we have delivered signature service with our trusted team of colleagues. This grand reintroduction reflects our continued commitment to premium offerings, modern relevance, and heartfelt hospitality that endures, creating lasting memories for all who visit.”
The property is divided into two distinct wings: the Grand Wing and the Terrace Wing. The Grand Wing was designed by Strickland of Tokyo and features 407 rooms and suites with open layouts and Peranakan-inspired accents. The Terrace Wing was created in collaboration with Grant Associates from the U.K., offering 292 rooms surrounded by tropical greenery, koi ponds, and waterfalls inspired by Japanese forest bathing.
The hotel now offers a total of 699 rooms and suites, including three Grand Presidential Suites aimed at private gatherings or extended stays. There are more connecting room options for families and groups. Club and suite guests have access to the relocated Grand Club lounge on the mezzanine level.
Grand Hyatt Singapore houses seven dining venues. Le Pristine Singapore marks Chef Sergio Herman’s Southeast Asian debut with Italian-Zeeland cuisine. StraitsKitchen returns as a Halal-certified buffet featuring local classics. Pete’s Place continues its tradition under Chef Salvatore Catania with new dining options like a chef’s table and antipasti bar. Other venues include Oasis for poolside dining, BRIX for live entertainment across three zones, 10|Scotts for Mediterranean-inspired small plates, The Shop café-retail concept, and Martini Bar offering an extensive martini selection.
The hotel introduces Damai as its wellness destination featuring treatments that combine modern modalities such as light therapy with traditional practices. Facilities include thermal-hydro experiences like a Himalayan salt steam room and fitness areas equipped with Technogym equipment. Damai is also the first HYROX training club in Southeast Asia.
Sustainability initiatives at Grand Hyatt Singapore include operating entirely on renewable electricity; using closed-loop aquaponics systems to recycle food waste; tracking carbon emissions per dish through Wisefins technology; employing zero-waste cooking practices; implementing RFID-enabled laundry systems; running an in-house water bottling plant to eliminate single-use plastics; and achieving GSTC certification along with Green Mark Platinum status from Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority.
