Delta Air Lines has completed a $4 billion transformation of Terminal C at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, in collaboration with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This development aims to enhance the travel experience as the summer season approaches. Delta operates over 220 daily departures from LaGuardia, maintaining its position as the airport’s largest carrier.

The terminal showcases New York’s cultural diversity through installations by local artists and community-inspired exhibits. The modernized terminal is designed to offer comfort, efficiency, and hospitality.

Terminal C features TSA PreCheck Touchless ID for eligible SkyMiles Members, allowing them to check bags and clear security using facial scans. Accessibility improvements include a sensory room with a mock aircraft cabin, pet relief areas, and an interfaith chapel.

An outdoor sky deck provides views of the tarmac and planes, offering passengers a connection to the outdoors. Dining options reflect New York’s culinary diversity with establishments like Bubby’s, Chuko Ramen, King David Tacos, Calista Taverna, Sunday Supper, Terrace Bar, Eggy Weggy, Poppy’s Bagels, Essex Burger, and Rossi Pizzeria.

Centralized security reduces backtracking within Terminal C. Public art curated with the Queens Museum includes works by Rashid Johnson and Mariam Ghani. Aliza Nisenbaum’s mural celebrates airport employees.

Ryan Marzullo of Delta Air Lines emphasized that this transformation results from a strong partnership between Delta and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. “Keep Climbing” remains Delta’s guiding principle as it continues to innovate in air travel.
