Cambria Hotels, a brand under Choice Hotels International, Inc., has announced the opening of four new properties in Templeton, California; Tampa, Florida; Plymouth, Massachusetts; and Portland, Oregon. The expansion is part of Cambria’s strategy to offer modern accommodations in sought-after locations.
“We’re proud that Cambria Hotels continues to grow in both high-demand and emerging markets,” said Indy Adenaw, Senior Vice President, Upscale Segment, Choice Hotels International. “Each new property presents the brand’s signature contemporary design, thoughtful amenities and localized touches that appeal to a variety of guest preferences. Whether it’s a city-center escape, an eco-conscious stay or a relaxing retreat, every Cambria hotel enhances the portfolio, helping drive greater guest affinity.”
The company currently has nearly 60 hotels in development. Future openings are planned for Times Square in New York and Fort Worth, Texas. Cambria also expects to open its first Canadian property in Thunder Bay, Ontario next year. Choice Hotels’ upscale portfolio now includes more than 110,000 rooms worldwide—a 15% increase from the previous year—and almost 29,000 additional rooms are being developed.
“As a brand that resonates strongly with guests, Cambria continues to be a standout opportunity for developers in the upscale space,” said Mark Shalala, Senior Vice President, Development, Upscale Brands, Choice Hotels International. “Our commitment to the brand’s success is reflected in the deep bench of resources we provide owners to help them succeed in a dynamic new construction environment. Whether developing hotels ourselves or investing directly alongside franchisees, we are focused on building a diverse, high-performing portfolio in key markets designed for long-term growth and profitability.”
The new Cambria Hotel Templeton is located near Paso Robles in California’s wine country. It features 132 rooms and uses solar energy as part of its sustainability efforts. The hotel offers experiences through an exclusive partnership with Margarita Ranch and serves locally sourced cuisine at its Ironhorse Restaurant and Bar.
In Tampa, Florida, the new Cambria Hotel provides 104 rooms for travelers looking for access to cruise terminals or city attractions such as Busch Gardens and the Tampa Riverwalk. Guests can opt for packages that include breakfast and parking during their trips.
The Plymouth location in Massachusetts offers 107 rooms close to historic sites like Plymouth Rock and Cape Cod National Seashore. The hotel has meeting space for up to 120 people and provides pet-friendly options including an on-site kennel.
Cambria’s first property in Oregon is situated in Portland’s Pearl District with 178 rooms and nearly 1,400 square feet of meeting space. Its restaurant Recess references its proximity to North Park Blocks.
All four hotels participate in Choice Privileges—the loyalty program recognized by U.S. News & World Report and WalletHub as one of the best travel rewards programs available (https://travel.usnews.com/rankings/travel-rewards/). Members can earn points at over 7,000 hotels globally across various brands owned by Choice Hotels (https://www.choicehotels.com/choice-privileges).
