The fifth annual Black Belt Birding Festival is scheduled for August 1-3, 2025. The event will focus on the birds, history, and heritage of Alabama’s Black Belt region. Attendees will have the chance to observe various bird species in their natural habitat.

“We hope you will join us for an unforgettable weekend in the beautiful western Black Belt region of Alabama,” organizers stated. They emphasized that there are opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience, learn, and engage in birding at historic sites, working farms, and prairie restoration projects.
