Amtrak and Crayola have partnered to promote family travel and creativity this summer. The collaboration includes offers and locomotive designs aimed at inspiring exploration.
Families traveling with children can benefit from special savings. Through August 31, 2025, children can travel for free in Coach Class or First Class private rooms on the Amtrak Auto Train to the Orlando area. Additionally, children with an Amtrak ticket can gain free admission to Crayola Experience locations in Easton, PA; Mall of America, MN; Orlando, FL; and Plano, TX until September 30.
The Auto Train offer is valid for trips between Lorton, VA, and Sanford, FL. A three-day advance purchase is required. Bookings can be made via the Amtrak app. Further details are available at Amtrak.com/Crayola.
In addition to these offers, two ACS-64 Sprinter electric locomotives will feature Crayola crayon designs along the Northeast Corridor from Washington D.C. to Boston. One locomotive showcases Violet Blue with a collection of eight retired crayon colors recently reintroduced by Crayola. The other features Dandelion—a golden yellow color—and displays “Dan D,” the Crayola Ambassador of Creativity.
Both locomotives carry the message “Creativity on the Go!” emphasizing the partnership between Amtrak and Crayola.
Jessica Davidson, Amtrak Vice President of Digital and Brand Marketing stated: “We’re thrilled about our newly minted partnership with Crayola, arriving just in time for the summer travel season. Both Amtrak and Crayola are iconic brands, which together can unlock unique, memorable experiences for children and adults alike.” She added that they are excited to inspire creativity across America through special savings and imaginative locomotive designs.
